We make the most of Canberra’s wonderful public places and cultural events by including excursions in our program. For all major excursions notes are sent home describing the excursion and administrative arrangements at least a week before the event.
We also utilise the Curtin and Macarthur neighbourhoods by walking to various places around our local area. Walking excursions around the local area are part of groups daily programs and are not necessarily notified by sending home permission notes in advance.
In the event of accidents occurring while children are on excursions, our procedures are the same as if an accident had occurred at the centre.
Excursions include places such as the Canberra National Zoo and Aquarium, the Fun Factory, the National Museum, the National Art Gallery, Cockington Green, the Bird Sanctuary and cinemas.
